INTRODUCTION

The printing industry in the UK has been utilising UV,
Radiation to cure inks ahd varnishes for the past 20 years.

The technique is employed extensivey and major areas of
activity include Food Packaging, Labels and Commercial print.
Many hundreds of printing  houses use UV arid individual press
installations probably run into thousands.

Of primary concern to the Radcure Industry is the
resistance being offered to the more widespread use of UV
curing. This resistance appears to be based on Health & Safety
factors, poor communication within the printing industry and
in some cases misconstrued hearsay about what is happening in
other EC countries.
