A novel photoinitiating system operating under LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) for the radiation curing market is proposed. This technology clearly constitutes an attractive alternative to the currently commercial photoinitiators. The development of a copper photoredox catalyst called "G1" discussed in this article is a new means of obtaining photoinitiating systems with unprecedented reactivity.
