Abrasion Resistance Of Uv Curable Coatings

The problem of resistance to abrasion exists all
around us, and especially in the fields of parquet and
plastic flooring.

In recent years, the use of UV curable coatings for
these applications has increased significantly.

Still, the relationship of abrasion resistance to the
other physical properties are not well established.
The objective of this paper is 1) to start
understanding the mechanisms of abrasion, and 2) to
offer formulation concepts to formulators working in
the fields of abrasion resistant coatings.
