Advantages in Flexo Printing and Laminating with EB Curing

The development of new EB curable flexo inks than can be printed wet-on-wet, opens entirely new possibilities for the manufacturer of Cl-fiexo presses as well as for the producer of flexible packaging. With the elimination of interstation drying, replaced by one "cold" electron beam curing process at the end of all printing stations, there will be much less heat in the printing press and the substrate. Cl-flexo presses can be more compact and in-line curing of overprint varnish and/or laminating adhesive will become possible.
