Introduction
Furniture surfaces are usually treated with a protecting
lacquer. In many parts of' the world 'peopledesire that
the wooden surfaces keep their typical wooden structure
and wooden appearance after lacquerings. This can
be obtained by an open—pore coating whereas a closed-pore
coating depresses the wooden character and gives an ap—
pearanceofaplastic—like surface.
