Comparison of the cationic cure of epoxysilicones in the blue light (LED / Halogen) and/or with cold UV lamps

Epoxysilicone chemistry has been described since the 1980’s and has been developed in order to obtain UV-curable coatings for different applications such as, release coatings, conformal coatings [2], optical fiber coatings[3], engine gasket coatings[4]. We are going to describe new feature of the behaviour of such epoxycycloaliphatic compounds polymerised either with deep UV light (UV-C) or blue visible light.
