The search for new photoinitiating systems remains important. The design of new sources of radicals for free radical photopolymerization and free radical promoted cationic photopolymerization is the subject of huge research efforts. The search of systems suitable for an exposure to novel light irradiation devices such as LED, diode lasers, household lamps, sun is attractive. In this paper, new highly efficient systems are proposed for diode laser induced photopolymerization at 532 and 635 nm under air. The involved mechanisms investigated by laser flash photolysis and ESR Spin Trapping experiments are presented.
