How the United States market is gearing up for the 1990's

The use of UV and EB technology for curing coatings and inks has been commercial in the US for about 20 years now and has grown steadily, although slower than anticipated, during that time.

However, radiation cured coatings, inks and adhesives still make up a very small (<10%) portion of the overall picture. Foreign acquisition of and by US companies, technology transfer agreements and worldwide marketing are all contributing to a globalization of markets. Radiation curing is well suited to the Just-in-time (JIT) manufacturing trend in the U.S.
