The radiation-initiated polymerisation of unsaturated acrylic resins is the fastest method of curing paint films. By using acrylic derivatives of low molecular weight as reactive thinners, it ispossible to eliminate the need for volatile solvents either wholly or in part. Reactive thinners which are incorporated in the system increase the crosslinking density, thus contributing to highlevels of chemical and physical resistance.
