Radiation cure is generally recognized as an attractive technology to replace physical drying of adhesives, coatings and printing inks.

Over and above the mere replacement, however, radiation cure may offer significant advantages, which are more or less specific to particular applications. This then allows to make entirely new products or known products in entirely new ways with interesting economic and/or qualitative advantages.

The paper describes some of the specific "added benefits" of radiation cure and presents a number of practical examples taken from the field of pressure sensitive adhesives.
