New UV Technology for 3-Dimensional Applications

UV curing systems for industrial applications have been in use for the last 12 years, mainly for
flat surfaces in the furniture and flooring industries. Solvent free (100% solid) lacquers are
used in these applications and are traditionally applied by rollers. In the last few years, new UV lacquers have been developed that permit more complex 3- dimensional surfaces to be processed. These specially formulated coatings and lacquers are applied to the surface of the product through spray systems. Applications are for products in many sectors of the' industry that include electronics, plastics, automotive products, glass decoration cosmetic packaging and optical uses.
