Paper is a very complex material, especially coated grades. It's not just fibres, but also a lot of other components like calcium carbonate latex binders, optical bleaching agents and a variety of chemistry which is necessary for the paper making and coating process. In each stage of the printing and finishing process different paper problems might occur.
