Radical Ketosulfone Derived Photoinitiators: Cleavage Process and Polymerization Activity

Photoinitiators based on a ketosulfone KS structure have been tested in radical photopolymerization
reactions for coating applications. Molecular modelling calculations help to describe the excited state properties. A discussion of the photochemical reactivity vs the practical efficiency in polymerization is presented.
