The use of UltraViolet (UV) light in industrial curing
processes, has been known to industry for more than 20
years. The process has undergone continuous development,
meaning that, developments and improvements in both
UV-chemistry and UV-lamp technology, has lead to, that the
UV-process today is a fast growing technology. It not only
expands in the areas, where UV succesfully has been
implemented for several years, but new areas of application
are developed at an increased rate.

The printing and converting industry has recognized UV as
the way to enhance product appearance. The high gloss, of
an UV-overprint varnish, adds value to the product and
makes it a "better-seller".

In the wood product industry and the electronics industry,
the increased mechanical strength, chemical resistance and
durability of a UV-coating, has made the UV-process enter
into these industries many years ago.
