Uv-Curable, But How Good?

Introduction

Nowadays the application of radiation—curing is quite common.
Nobody is wondering about the development of the formulations.
It is said very easily: mix a reactive diluent, a prepolymer
and an initiator together for getting a lacquer or an
overprint varnish. Can you combine all sorts of initiators
with the various binders (reactive diluents with prepolymers)?
Is it possibleto foresee the final result in application of
the different combinations of binders and initiators?

With a spectrophotometer we have produced several UV—spectra.
It was quite obvious that we got different absorption—curves.
So a research subject was started.

Some of our findings will be reported.
