The powder coating on MDF was introduced into the market several years ago, at the beginning thermo-setting powders and, in the following years, UV powders were used. The installation of the first industrial plants for UV powder coating on MDF dates back to approximately three years ago; however, only few of them can be considered as fully operational on an industrial scale for a little longer than one year. Among these, the first horizontal plant installed worldwide for UV powder coating on MDF can be mentioned; it can also boast a quick start-up to total Customer's satisfaction. Additionally, more conventional realities of UV powder coating in over-hanging systems do exist, which confirm an increasing consolidation of this promising technology.
