The total investment of the phase II project (SCIP II), covering an area of 1.16 hectares, is in the low double-digit million euro amount, and the site is designed for an annual capacity of 4,750 tons. The entire phase II project was officially completed on March 18, 2022, and the first pail of the surface additive BYKETOL-OK, which is applicable for automotive and industrial coatings, rolled off the production line on July 8.

Effective March 1st, Ib Jensen takes over from Jan Secher as Chief Executive Officer of Perstorp Group, a leading specialty chemicals company headquartered in Malmö, Sweden and since 2022 part of PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG). Ib Jensen is a highly respected senior industry executive with a long career as CFO and extensive experience from M&A and integration of acquired companies, something that will be required in the next phase for Perstorp.

From July 4 to 6,2023, the largest in-house exhibition for UV, LED and excimer technology will take place in Nürtingen near Stuttgart for the eleventh time. As part of the industry get-together, organizer IST METZ will inaugurate its new UV Technology Campus including LED LAB.

Perstorp is aligning with the new industry standard for product carbon footprint (PCF), developed by the industrial initiative Together for Sustainability. Perstorp can already provide product carbon footprint values for about 85% of its products (based on sales volume), and is continuously adding more products.
